If you would like to discuss your skin in detail prior to your appointment, please book our skin consultation. During your skin consultation we will discuss your skin goals and concerns, your budget, lifestyle and overall health. We will discuss what treatments we offer, and which would be best suited to you. After your consultation you will receive a proposed skincare plan which is tailored just for you.

Our in-clinic consultation includes a skin analysis where we cleanse the skin and use a magnifying light to carefully determine any skin conditions such as sensitivity, oiliness, acne, pigmentation, fine lines and dehydration.

Post-Treatment Advice AlumierMD Peels:

We recommend a skin peel every 3 weeks for acne-prone and pigmented skin, every 4 weeks is suggested for other concerns.

Prior to undergoing any peel treatment, it's essential to precondition the skin. This involves following a dedicated home-care plan to ensure the peel's efficacy and safety.

Pre-Treatment Advice 7 days before:

  • Refrain from using products containing AHA, BHA, Retinoids, exfoliates, and enzymes.
  • Avoid hair removal treatments, including waxing in the treatment area.
  • Steer clear of botox or filler for 2 weeks
  • Minimise exposure to sunlight, including sunbeds.

AlumierMD Peel Aftercare Advice:

Potential Contra Actions:

Reactions from the treatment are usually temporary and resolve within hours. These can include; redness, flushing, peeling, dryness, irritation, tightness, itching, tenderness, accentuated lines & wrinkles due to dryness, stinging, and swelling,

Although skin reactions can vary, they usually resolve within 3-7 days as the skin returns to normal. There is a slight risk of side effects, such as very red skin, blistering, swelling, peeling, scabbing, and crusting. In rare cases, infection and ulceration may occur, although this is unlikely due to the sterility of the procedure and its minimally invasive nature. Hyperpigmentation is a small risk, but it's not common if the correct skincare is used prior and post procedure.

It's crucial to follow the detailed aftercare advice and use your post procedure kit to minimise the risk of these reactions
